We have been using Dearborn Animal Hospital for 8 years. Many great doctors to choose from. Very reasonable rates. Convenient location. Animal-rescue-friendly! Please be patient with their walk-in policies as they are very popular. Saint Francis and Village Vets are close by emergency facilities in the event your pet needs to be seen sooner than Dearborn can accommodate. They do their best!!
Dr. Ellington is terrific. I made an appointment to see her, and didn't have to wait an unreasonable amount of time. She answered all my questions and concerns.
Not a fan of the attitudes at the reception desk. Understaffed which leads to long waits in rooms. Prices are high. Discounts/waived office fees for regular patients would be nice. Services are high enough without additional fees.
BEWARE! The billing practices are horrendous!!! I am co founder of a cat rescue and always love the vets at Dearborn, but we have been continuously billed for 2 YEARS for services on animals that were NOT ours!! Included in that bill are charges for spaying the same cat TWICE! Really? I have emailed them repeatedly, and finally got their itemized records direct from them. I emailed them about all of the discrepancies, and never get a return email or call. I just continue to email them so at least I will have a paper trail. L... read more
Dearborn has a very friendly and helpful staff. They always take great care of our dogs.
Sheer incompetence when it comes to scheduling. They demanded my spouse come in 5 hours before the appointment (a basic annual physical necessary to keep him registered) or would refuse to see our cat. They then insisted she leave the cat with them for five hours until they could get to him, stressing him out and leaving my spouse a complete wreck from a highly upset cat.
