Excellent service – After a local mechanic wanted $3000 to replace the transmission on our Subaru, Dean diagnosed and replaced a single bad bearing for less than half that cost. When a small oil lead appeared after the repair I returned the car one evening to have it checked out. In the hour I had a drink down the block they not only diagnosed a leaking axle seal (the axles are removed when repairing the transmission) but they replaced the seal and charged me nothing. Blue Collar Work Horses Play Fair, But you Pay For Conveinience – Dean Transmission was recommended to my girlfriend and I by a co worker. Returned 4 times after initial service, to no satisfaction. – I returned my car 4 times after their initial work. They replaced my transmission. The first time I returned was because the rebuilt transmission stopped shifting gears after one month of driving. Every visit since then has been in hopes that they can repair a new symptom that started immediately after the 2nd visit. About half the time now, my car will not start in Park.
