Had discovery call with lawyer. Objectively worst experience with service provider in life. Call started with the lawyer accusing my wife and I of not filling out an optional form, and then the lawyer not answering any questions we had, while subsequently asking for our private asset information and personal details. Maybe this firm is good, but immediately knew this was not the firm I’d entrust my families future with.
This was a great introduction to the complexities and nuances of Estate Planning for LGBTQ individuals and couples. Patricia and her team walked the attendees at the free Oasis SF Workshop through the basics, and then helped the group create [and even notarize] personal Advanced Health Care Directives on the spot.
