I was charged $236 for a consultation and x-ray. My dental plan provider told me I should have only been charged $19. They refused to use the billing codes that covered my procedure (extracting two wisdom teeth). Dr. Tien's office even had me paying for anesthesia. I received 4 treatment plan options ranging from almost $700 to almost $3,330 for pulling two wisdom teeth. I cancelled my appointment and was charged $125. GO to DR. ALLEN A. Dr. Niven Tien is a very personable and caring dentist. He explained and helped me understand the procedure. My tooth extract he performed was painless and Dr. Tien made a follow up call to make sure there was no problem. The Assistants and Office staff were polite, efficient and friendly. I would strongly recommend Dr. Tien to anyone looking for a new dentist.
I called in to schedule an appointment for a dental implant and the receptionist was rude; it was mostly her tone. She asked me if my referring dentist took sufficient x-rays such as a panoramic x-ray. I explained to her that my dentist has done quite a few procedures, so an x-ray was done. Obviously, I am not a dental professional, and don't know what type of x-ray was done and to ask the way she did in my opinion was inappropriate. I was really scared & nervous because of past experiences with dentists.But my oral surgeon Dr. Tien reassured me everything would be fine. I have never came out of a dentist office wanting to smile,but because of my procedure I couldn't smile two thumbs up Dr.Tien you're the best I would let him work on my mouth any time.I live over an hour away from office but it was well worth the trip & I would do it again.You have a pleasant staff & I thank everyone involved.
This might be a good place to get dental work done, but only if money is no object, and clear and consistent communication is no object either. What I was told orally about billing and insurance never matched what actually happened. I was given an estimate in which I was supposed to pay 2700 dollars, and insurance would cover another 1000. Dr. Rothenberg is not an Oral Surgeon please remove him from the Oral Surgery panel so patients stop wasting their time and this office's time with calling.
