Horrible organization- traffic is unbelievable! Will never go there again!!!
Already almost two hours in and we have been sitting in a line to get in, parking, standing in a line to get on a bus, bus lines moved, and now sitting on a bus still waiting to get over to the show! Unbelievable disorganization!! Shame on Dayton!
The logistics of the end of the day were horrible! The wait time for the buses to get back to and out of the parking lot were awful. I will not be attending next year if this is how they do it again.
We spent 7 hours at the Dayton Air Show today. By 7 hours I mean we actually were at the show for 2 hours, because of parking and bussing. Not sure 2 hours of air show and 5 hours of them being incapable to direct traffic/not enough busses/busses did not have a direct route back and forth...was worth $100+ for two adults and a screaming soaking wet diaper 18 month old in the sun waiting for 5 hours just to attend. We planned an hour to get in and spent 1.5 hours in line to get to the parking lot. Terrible crowd management caused us to miss the first hour of the show.
Less and less flying at air shows lately. This years line up is really thin. Has the US military just stopped participating?
Parking and shuttle bus situation is a total disaster. Deffinatley Will not be back. Busses leaving people and utter lack of communication by vectren staff to direct people.
Definitely don't recommend attending as long as they do parking like this! We were lucky and caught the bus to the show right after we parked. Now we are stuck like animals in a cage being dependent on their shuttles to get to our cars!! This is ridiculous and miserable for our kids!!
