Located approximately 30 miles east of Columbus, The Dawes Arboretum is a nearly 2,000-acre tree museum dedicated to enriching lives through the conservation of trees and nature. We invite you to take part in our fun and informative programs or visit our grounds to experience the extraordinary collection of trees, beautiful gardens and distinctive natural areas. Arboretum admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 -15. Children younger than 5 will be admitted for free. Arboretum members receive free admission.

A beautiful place to walk and look at a lot of different trees and just think. Also great for pictures
I used to love Dawes. I paid the fee to tour the Daweswood House a few times. I learned a lot about the founders and their history. But, I cannot afford to pay $25 every time my wife and I take my son to visit. And before someone jumps in with, “Hop on over to the library...”, I don’t live in Licking County, so that’s not going to work for me. Good thing Bertie and Beeman are encased in tombs, lest they start spinning and creating sinkholes on the property.

A wonderful oasis of cultured plants and activities for the whole family.. The staff is friendly and informative. And there are plenty of great trails and programs.
We love Dawes. It's Licking county's hidden secret. We are so lucky to have this in our community and it's absolutely FREE!!! We got a membership last year and it's worth every penny!! Join today you won't regret it!!!
Greedy and money hungry! Refuse to pay what they are charging! Would pay $3 to $5 a car load but will NOT pay $20 something for my little family to go somewhere that is supposed to be free. I’ll walk around my parents woods and see wild life or go to Flint Ridge!
Pretty sad the hours are terrible for anyone wanting to visit after work. Closes at 6:30!!! Will not be renewing our membership next year! We should have researched this before getting a family membership.
So wonderful that Dawes offers such natural beauty and their educational programs have benefited children (and adults!) for many many years. I remember visiting here from grade school days at Jacksontown Elementary in the '50's and try to at least drive through on visits back to Ohio! Keep up the great work!
We have been visiting Dawes since the early 1990's. Our two oldest children have made hundreds of trips with us over the years and our youngest will now enjoy the Arboretum as well. The updates to the trails and facilities the past few years have been fantastic. We look forward to many more years of exploring this wonderful destination.
