Most definitely not recommend. Our family showed up after a birthday party to walk off the cake and it was going to cost over $100. We were in total shock as you can imagine and left. They want $10 per person. On top of the ridiculous cost it's nowhere near the caliber of Holden Arboretum which I gladly pay and drive too from time to time. Since we have not been going to Dawes anymore we have found some other great parks and nature preserves that cost zero.
What a great fall venture. Beautiful tapestry of colors to see. With the weather cooperating, makes for incredible hikes. Wife and I immediately got memberships to enjoy all year long. Highly recommend!
Beautiful place to walk with my dogs, peaceful. Sure they charge but a yearly membership is a deal!
I absolutely love the Dawes Arboretum, and in particular, the Japanese Garden: it (the garden) is a very serene setting with gorgeous landscaping. I could literally sit there for hours and admire the breathtaking beauty of the Japanese garden. I also really enjoy perching on the tower which overlooks the hedges which spell out the words "Dawes Arboretum". And I enjoy the blue spruce trees, which are just gorgeous. And while I have participated in one for a few years, the night hikes are not only educational, but lots of fun!... read more
My father has been a member of Dawes arboreum for 45 years. We recently had a celebration of life for his wife my stepmother and had a wonderful time at one of the pavilions. We found that the staff was friendly and helpful. The land scape and gardens are beautiful! I recommend this facility for any event or just for a drive-through date.
I first went to Dawes as a.Girl Scout, too many years ago! Our troop had our day camp there. It was such a beautiful place. I moved away from Ohio over 30 years ago, but always make a trip to Dawes whenever I am home. My favorite place now is the Japanese Garden. So peaceful.
They could put a price chart on tbe building up front when you pull up. The prices are overrated $10 per adult and $5 per child! They could have the grounds more well kept, grass mowed, logs picked up! Very disappointed!
Lovely, peaceful place! Great place to go and get some fresh air and exercise a bit and take unforgettable photos.
I've been going to The Dawes Arboretum since 1975. It is such a wonderful resource that we have here in Licking County!!!
