I was diagnosed with VCD during a four day hospital stay. Dr.Yen was my follow up to this stay and I was hoping for a solid plan of how to get better & some clarity on what was going on. Immediately upon meeting him, he said that this was anxiety. The reason I can't do more than walk around the house was anxiety. Not the fact that I feel massive amounts of pressure on my throat and it becomes difficult to breathe. Dr. Yen is the best ENT around. St Luke's is lucky and blessed to have several outstanding doctors like Dr. Yen. Dr. y is very attentive, listens to patients concerns. He explains the conditions, treatment, etc. He goes above and beyond to make sure patients are comfortable and not just a number. He never rushes the appointments. I recommend him to anyone who may need ENT care. Thank you Dr. Yen for acknowledging my concerns.
Wait around for nearly an hour after the appointment scheduled time and zero communication from the staff. When asked no answer l. Find it ironic that there are signs around the office that ask to be nixed to the staff. Par for the course with the medical profession. If I showed up a hour late I’d be charged and the appointment would be canceled.
I received a full hour of care with a pleasant staff and a very caring doctor. Dr. Yen listened, explained, empathized and treated me with respect. He offered options, hope and explained things in a very effective way. I felt as if I was the only patient he had for the day. I would highly recommend him. He engaged with my daughter who went along with me and made us feel as if we had been his patients for years. Very happy with the experience.
