The friendly caring staff at Pontchartrain Cancer Center makes treatment bearable. Dr Oubre really cares.
Facing chemo treatments was scary for me, but I was immediately at ease with Dr Oubre and the wonderful staff at PCC. I am thankful for the personal attention I received that kept me feeling like a human and not a number. I am truly grateful for the care and compassion I received.
When my wife received an abnormal blood count during a routine blood test we saw Dr Oubre. He took the time to answer all of our questions. His care was spot on and he really put our minds at ease.
Not a good doctor! My mother, who had a biopsy done, and still trying to get results for over a week. Oubre want her to come to his office, she's at home on hospice and ;can barely get out of bed. Even with a Health Care POA, Oubre still won't release the results. I wouldn't use this doctor, even if he was the last physical on earth.
Our experiences with Dr. Oubre and his staff have been nothing short of spectacular. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. Highly recommended to anyone needing a hematologist or oncologist!
Dr. Oubre and his staff are amazing. They truly care about their patients. I feel like they are my extended family. I never feel rushed through my visits. They listen and take as long as necessary to be sure my questions are answered and that I understand all aspects of my care.
I wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Oubre, as he (HIMSELF) did come recommended. But, unfortunately, WE are only as good as our TEAM. Therefore, I would NOT recommend him to anyone with such involved disorders with blood/cancer. Rather than listing specific frustrations with his Hammond Clinic- I will state that this ENTIRE office staff lacks professionalism, efficiency, and the competence level needed to successfully run & treat patients with such sensitive needs & issues.

My 21yo son was seen by Dr. Oubre for Lymphoma. Dr. Oubre's compassion and expertise were EXACTLY what he needed as a patient and I needed as his mother. We HIGHLY recommend him!
