Had a spiral break in my fibula. While looking at my x-rays, Dr. Fang made a definitive statement, "You are definitely going to have to have surgery." Then, going to the computer and looking at my chart, he quickly changed his mind. "No, we won't be doing surgery. You don't need surgery, you are 69 years old." Yes he comes off a bit aloof. BUT he did an awesome job on my 85 year old moms total hip replacement. Not all skilled surgeons have good bedside manner.

I was referred to Dr. Fang because my other doctor is retiring. I've never had an issue with any Kaiser physicians. However, this man was on his phone for over 5 minutes, not talking, just reading. Extremely arrogant, no bed-side major whatsoever, not professional looking or behaving and preoccupied with something else. I walked out after the appt and asked to make an appt with another surgeon. If he can't pay attention for 15 minutes, he's not doing my surgery.
