Dr. Walner has performed surgery three times on our two sons. Each time our experience with him was excellent. He is incredibly competent, which is what I want in a surgeon. When I first met him, I wanted him to be warmer and more comforting, but I realized that he is just very focused on patient care. He is straightforward, direct and no-nonsense...again, what I ultimately want in a surgeon. Do not hesitate to use Dr. Walner- our three surgeries could not have been more successful.
Dr Walner came highly recommended from a top doctor for our family. He preformed two surgeries on both of my children. Tonsils adnoids and tubes. Everything went beautiful and he did an amazing job. He also took time to talk to use to understand everything, we never felt rushed. He also made the kids feel right at home. We also have been to two offices and every staff member we have encountered has been wonderful. thank you Dr Walner and staff for all that you have done for our family.
We've been using Dr Walner for the past 4.5 years, and have recommended him to our friends and family. He took care of multiple issues for two of our children, operated on them and always did an excellent & professional job. With my kids under his care I feel secure in knowing I'm using someone who is top in his field, cares for what he does, is open and clear about what he does and wont push anything we are uncomfortable with We are now trying to turn the world to get our third treated by him.
My 17 month went and saw Dr Whalner for excessive ear infections. We went on a Wednesday to his Hoffman Estates office. After seeing my son he scheduled him for tubes and to remove his adenoids. The surgery was set for 7 days later. He was so prompt. The surgery was fast and the end results have been life changing. My son could not hear before the tubes bc the fluid in his ears was so thick. He is a new child that can hear. I am thankful we chose Dr. Whalner. Very prompt and professional.
Dr. Walner has seen my son since he was 1 year old and has done four minor surgeries to improve my son's hearing and drainage issues. He cares very deeply about delivering medical care and keeps consistently busy. He is straightforward and is focused on the child/patient's needs and being frank about his concerns to the parents. I appreciate his honesty and years of experience and trust him implicitly to care for my son.
If i could do a zero i would! Please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before ANY proceedings with this Dr. He is very rude and not comforting at all. He was going to do surgical unnecessary procedures with my child that had absolutly nothing to do with her health conditions! Im so very thankful for our second opinion with a fabulous ENT who took time and said what right procedures need to be done! Parents please think twice about your kids!
Business response:
We appreciate your feedback and suggest you reach out to our practice manager to discuss your concerns. Our practice has been in existence for over 40 years and I assure you that each of our physicians are compassionate highly specialized doctors and only suggest procedures if a patient requires the procedure. If you have questions or require further explanation of treatment plans we encourage patients/ parents to call the doctor or schedule a follow up appointment in our office.
Dr. Walner helped both of my children get thru numerous ear infections. They had ear tubes done and have been virtually cured. Great doctor. Highly recommend.
Smooth tonsil surgery and recovery for my 5 year old. Nice guy, quick to return calls.
My 5 year-old had the back of her earring embedded in her ear lobe. It was infected and very painful. When Dr Walner walked in, he did NOT wash his hands or wear gloves before examining her ear! He then began touching the infected area, pushing, prodding until she screamed in pain. He said the ONLY way to get it out would be for her to go to the O.R. under anesthesia. So I consulted a pediatric plastic surgeon. Solution: topical cream, a small injection, a tiny incision and no stitches!
Business response:
All physicians in our practice use hand washing and / or hand sanitizer prior to and after seeing each and every patient in our office. Many children require procedures under anesthesia if they cannot cooperate in the office; but we do our best to work with all patients to discuss all options for optimal treatment and patient comfort. We are sorry you did not have a good experience in our office; but we are glad things worked out well for your child.
