Dr. Kunkel is an incredible physician! He has outstanding fund of knowledge, caring and warm bedside manner, and professional demeanor. He is a leading expert in motility. I have seen many gastroenterologists in the past but Dr. Kunkel is a true gem!
Dr. Kunkel is the absolute best Gastro Dr I have ever been to and I’ve been to several. He listens, cares and always thinks outside of the box. I never have to worry about follow up appointments. He is alway right on top of everything regarding my care. I am so grateful for his guidance.
Dr. Kunkel is an amazing physician!!! He is knowledgeable, caring, and personable. He has the ability to take complex concepts and break them down into understandable morsels, all while making sure I understand every step of the process. He listens extensively, truly cares about this patients, and presents a gradient of options. I am thoroughly impressed and cannot thank Dr. Kunkel for his depth of expertise and guidance. Dr. Kunkel is the best gastroenterologist I ever came across in my entire life time. He listens carefully to the patient's needs. His responses are very logical. The notes are taken. I always know what are the next steps and all is well informed so. And he always is able to get behind even the most complex health issues. Taking the whole patient story into consideration. He's the most wonderful GI doctor.

He does not listen to your concerns. He is not sympathetic. He does not read through your chart to determine your relevant procedures that has been done. He refuses to network with my diabetic doctor for his recommendation. This was after I've already spoken to me doctor. He simply orders multiple diagnostic procedures instead of taking about treatment options. He has very poor patient bedside manners.
Very caring and all around a phenomenal physician! I was having difficulty swallowing dense foods like bread and chicken. Dr. Kunkel used a fancy balloon called endoflip to solve my problem. He explained everything in detail every step of the way. Couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful physician. Highly recommend!
