BEWARE of how Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is scheduling your appointments and billing practices. Called to schedule a vision check appointment under our vision insurance (copay of $15), but it was scheduled as a medical appointment resulting in a $152 bill. Have been speaking to billing since end of April with a total of 7 phone calls never returned by the manager and director. Today I get a notice threatening to send me to collections. After 7 years, our family will be finding a new place.
I had terrible experiences with Dr Kendall for 2 years. He missed and misdiagnosed a macular hole in my retina for over a year and a half. Because the hole was there so long and was not diagnosed properly, I lost a lot of my vision in my eye. Very upset that a professional could miss this for so long. Had to give one star instead of zero.
Dr. Schultz has a great personality and he took extra time with me to explain my options. I was very happy with my first time visit to his office.
Really nice guy. Took time to explain my medical status, which really caught me off guard. I'm glad I went and got checked out, and glad I got Dr Schultz. I will request him in the future.

DrSchultz took time to listen. He explained clinical and eye care information clearly .He is patient-oriented. He did not seem rushed and was willing to spend time with me. I had confidence that he would make appropriate referrals when needed.
