When I came to see Dr. Slutsky, he was the fifth doctor I had seen in 5 months for what I was told was a "career ending" injury. I am a 34 year-old firefighter who suffered a torn scapholunate ligament. The first doctor I was sent to misdiagnosed my injury, sent me through 2-1/2 months of therapy before doing a MRI, and subsequently turned a repairable injury into what was deemed a chronic and un-repairable injury because of the length of time without proper treatment.
