I made an appointment with Dr. Baumgardener after my exam at a national vision chain left me with a highly inaccurate vision prescription. Rather than return for a re-test at the national chain, I decided to try Dr Baumgardener, who is close to home and highly rated. I'm so glad I did. Dr Baumgardener and his office staff made me feel welcome, but more important, I got the most thorough eye exam of my life. Dr. Baumgardner has been providing my eye care since the late 1980's. I trust him completely and have found his care to be careful and thorough. I would recommend him to any of my friends.
I don’t write reviews often but when someone is very special and gifted at what they do I feel the need to. Dr. Baumgardner saw me on short notice when the Urgent Care had misdiagnosed my eye infection basically making my whole eye swollen shut. He is very kind and is an expert with the eyes. I am now feeling so much better and am grateful that he was able to see me.
I have gone to see him even when my insurance did not cover it. I trust him and enjoy talking to him.

Was diagnosed by Glaucoma Specialist for over 12 years with low press glaucoma, fortunately ( a real blessing ) we switched to Dr. David Baumgardner, he found a critical issue first visit with a visual field test of which the Glaucoma Specialist never saw but was in the readouts. Dr. Baumgardner uncovered a meningioma in excess of a cubic inch that needed to be removed surgically. It was pressed against optic chiasm and causing all sorts of problems.
