Cancelled my State Farm car insurance. They deducted money from my account. It will take three weeks for me to receive my money back. STAY AWAY from State Farm. Also, worst customer service when I was in a fender bender last year. STAY AWAY from State Farm.

Horrible, Terrible, Scam of a company. They do not honor their word, they will bait and switch parts, they don't give you an adequate rate for rental cars. They are simply a big company that could care less about their insured or the folks their insured effects. Pathetic.

I had to contact State Farm regarding a claim due to an accident with one of their insured. The claims processor I spoke with was extremly rude and even told me he was not oblagated to assisting me because I was not their customer. I was directed to call State Farm by my insurance company because they had already determined I was not at fault. I think it is very unprofessional for State Farm employees to speak to people this way even if I am not a customer.

My husband hit a chunk of ice 11/2016 which broke oil pan causing turbo to go out and other issues with the car. Took 4 months and a lot of phone calls and miss truths on State Farms side to finally get the car fixed. Drove it 2 days and the throttle stuck called dealer who did repairs and on the way to take it back to them the throttle stuck again. They then installed a new turbo and documented the throttle but couldn't identify why it stuck. Gave the car back and less the 100 miles later it stuck wile my 17 year old son wa... read more

My 12-year old son I were stopped, innocently, at a red light on our way home from his school when we were struck violently from behind by a driver insured by STATE FARM. The impact of the truck that hit us caused our heads to smash against the headrests with such force that it caused the video screens to pop out resulting in our loss of DVD sound somehow. I've had mixed experiences with State Farm, some good, some bad. I see people complaining about them raising our rates, and they do do that. I'm not sure if they have valid reasons for charging more. Usually when I call about the increases, they claim that it is because more accidents are occurring in my district. I don't really believe this explanation. There have been times State Farm has been quite good in covering my misfortunates, but there are two experiences that left me either less than satisfied or very unsatisfied.... read more

I recently purchased a vehicle and 15 days later it was totaled. Be prepared as a paying customer to spend numerous days and hours ensuring that all concerned parties are submitting to the right agency/party the proper paperwork to ensure that your claim is in process, from the State Farm claims department to the Insurance adjustor, to the Lien Holder and even the Car Dealer that you received the vehicle from you as a paying customer will have to do all of the groundwork to ensure that they do their jobs. On April 16, I had to file a claim of vandalism. The sliding door to my home was smashed and glass was all over the place, inside my home and outside. In addition, I had to bedroom windows smashed where the same occurred with the glass. At first the representative stated there was nothing she could do to secure my home since it was Sunday and after 5pm.
