Only giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. Please don't see this man. I presented with a minor break in my left wrist, and he had a resident put me in a cast to return in 2 weeks. Stating that I might not need surgery. I never saw X-rays, no physical assessment performed, no info provided. At 2 weeks he advised that I did need surgery "like he had advised at my first appointment." I was told my surgery could wait until he was back from his vacation. From the moment he walked into the room, I felt as though his entire diagnosis was already laid out in his head. This was more like a psychoanalysis than a medical consult. He doesn't have much respect for 'people my age' and was determined to talk me into accepting nothing could be done and I should 'find my own recipe' for how to deal with it for the rest of my life!He's conducting a research study, not treating people with pain. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Ring. I saw him for numbness in my fingers and he barely looked at my hand. He kept telling me it was probably due to stress and told me to go home and try not to think about it and see if it goes away. He insinuated that it was all in my head. My problem progressed and I went back a year later since it never went away and Dr. Ring still was completely dismissive about my problem and rude. He also barely touched or looked at my hand. WORST Dr. EVER! I’ve had 4 separate appointments with him, all to address the same issue & not ONCE did I receive ANY treatment for it. My Dr. sent me to him to SPECIFICALLY address & treat my issues & he completely failed after multiple attempts & he even AGREED that at the next appointment he treat my hand with the agreed upon treatment but when I returned for that treatment it was like walking into the Twilight Zone. Horrible. Prideful and doesn't answer questions. Very dismissive. Wish I never went.
Way too long on “touchy feely” approaches & way too short on actual experience. Had not done ANY of the surgeries which Best practices recommended for my condition and was not able to give good recs or able to discuss decision tree options. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
