After reading all the comments about Dave's Spa I wanted to find out for myself. Arrived at "Spa" around 1230 on a Saturday. I was welcomed by a young women "cashier" at the entrance to the wash. I watched carefully as my car went thru the wash. So far ,so good. I then went to the restroom expecting something nasty. To my surprise, I found it very nice and clean. Randomly closed AGAIN. This is a 13 mile round trip for me. I will have to start calling first.
Went today at 11:00 and attendant says they are closing. Workers all still there and can't run one more car through . 2 hours later, no rain and sunshine. I think someone wanted to take the afternoon off!! Usually get good service there but this makes no sense...
Beware of theft! Did a nice job cleaning, right down to cleaning out all my change ($10+ in dollar coins). Took 45 minutes start to finish and I was first in line. Returned later when I noticed the theft and the man who identified himself as the manager simply shrugged and said, "Ok." Then walked away. First and last time there.
I thought this afternoon with temps in the upper 70's and no rain in sight that I could get my car washed. I went there at 12:12 pm only to find them closed. The excuse (this time) was they had sucked someone's keys up in the vacuum and they had to pull the vacuum apart to retrieve the car keys. I only wish someone could open a decent car wash in the west end of Hull Street Road, they could make a fortune washing cars when Dave's is closed. I just paid for the ultimate wash to get the "thorough vacuum." Worst job ever. I do understand it's impossible to get all the dog hair out of the seats and the employee mentioned that but I expect for all the dirt to be gone and the dash to be cleaned completely. Not just a wipe near the steering wheel. Also while the dog hair may not get all the way out of the seats it takes little effort to vacuum it off the doors where it isn't carpeted. Waste of time and money. I was shocked honestly at how poor of a job was done.
