not so dashing, not so diva – Had an appointment for 7pm on a weekday, waited for 40 minutes (stayed because I am patient and really wanted to see if the hype was worth it) and after 40 minutes when I was still ignored (not offered an apology, explanation, or even water!!), I called for the manager and all she told me was "5 more minutes." Avoid unless you enjoy waiting forever... – I scheduled 2 appointments for myself and a friend. We arrived promptly at 7 and were told it would be a few minutes. We made sure to let the receptionist know that we had to be out by 8 for dinner reservations, she assured us it would be no trouble. After 20 minutes of waiting they finally sat us. Heavenly – I must admit after reading the negative reviews on this site, I was a little reluctant to visit Dashing Diva on 8th Ave. I got the Spoiled Diva pedicure which was $45 and I got a free nail polish upon my departure. My experience was heavenly! The atmosphere was so relaxing and "diva-like". The attendant was very nice and made small talk with me ( I even messed up a toe after she was done polishing them and she graciously did it over). Will give a second chance:) – I enjoyed the atmosphere of the Dashing Diva and it provides a great place for friends! I enjoyed the pedi-lounge and the absence of cheezy nail art on the walls. Long Wait, Bad Attitude – Making a reservation is a joke.....and the staff could definitely use some coaching in the fundamentals of Customer Service. Somehow they seem to think they are doing us (the customer) a favor. After waiting for about 30 minutes (with an appointment), and being "dismissed" by one of the staff, I found it pointless to stick around to see if the manicures were any good. If it were not for the "free Cosmo" tag line, this place would be out of business in no time!!

Diva Not – My sister and I tried the Friday Night after 6pm pedicures with free Cosmo. Services were far from stellar! Technicians seemed bored and could care less about giving a good pedicure. We opted for the "spoiled diva" pedicure - they spent more time polishing the legs and less on the feet. I also had a terrible manicure! After waiting a over a half hour to dry - my feet were still callus and dry?? I felt my complaints would go unwarrented so I left - and will never go back. Quality, Inexpensive & Fun – This place has become my favorite new place for mani/pedi services. I love the atmosphere and the staff is quick, good and friendly. Truely a step above the rest, without paying more for so called "spa manicures" you recieve a great hand massage, cuticle exfoliation and moisturizing. I am very impressed and can't wait to go back with my friends!
