Good, solid manicure – I have never had a problem at Dashing Diva, both with regular manicures and with the Virtual Nails that they offer. I have only had to wait 15 minutes max for a seat and I have always been treated well. Their Virtual Nails are a bit pricey ($35 for a fitting, application and manicure), but I can really only see them being practical for people who want nails for a short-term special occasion. Will never go there again...Not happy with my gel nails AT ALL. – Much more expensive than what it's worth; terriblly ignorant regarding hurting the skin they do while buffing; no real hand message - it was rather a rub! Gel nail is an art and not everybody can do it. They have sculpt my nails each in differnt shape and form than the other! The French tips are horribly inconsistent and irregular, too. They wanted me to bring them back the buff next time!
great place, prepare to wait no matter what.. – I really like this place, the way it looks, whole place smells nice and clean...but it is such a hassle to go past the counter. One day you go they say you have to make an appointment, next time you call to make an appoinment, they say they dont accept appointments for short treatments, one day you have the approved appopintment you go, they tell you although you have the appointment they dont keep it , you have to wait until somebody is available. cute place, great service, relaxing, perfect mani and pedi – what i like about the dashing diva are the hours and the nail polish selection, as well as the nice atmosphere. they make all their own manicure products, which work well, and they have 150 polish colors to choose from, for every kind of taste and mood. i never go to a nail salon expecting to get relaxed, but that is exactly what happens when i go to the dashing diva. when i am there i feel as if i am escaping for a bit, because the place is so quiet and nicely dec... read more
Overpriced but friendly. – I was able to make a last minute appointment for Full Brazillian Bikini wax. I was taken in early, didn't even have to wait. The waxer was smiley and friendly which was nice. However, I'm not sure if this place knows what a brazillian bikini wax is. She took everything off of the "front" and told me it would be $10 more for other areas. I said fine, and she proceeded to wax the inner thigh area.. but nothing further. Great experience – I've been to Dashing Diva several times over the last two years. I am shocked to read all the negative reviews, because I've always had great experiences. I've gotten their Basic manicures/pedicures, Diva mani/pedis, Virtual Nails, and even a 10-minute back/neck massage once, and they were all great. And I went once with a friend on a Friday night and we had so much fun sipping Cosmos and chatting the entire time. What up with the dog?? – Was in the salon 3 weeks ago and there was a disheveled dog running around. My nail tech said it was the managers and we can bring dogs now to the salon. Will they do dog manicures?
MOST FUN MANI/PEDI EVER! – Manicure/pedicures are usually boring and somewhat tedious -- not here! I come here all the time, but last week I went to "Girls Night Out" for the first time with a bunch of my girlfriends -- there was great music, great drinks, and great company -- it was like a party! They serve FREE Cosmopolitans, which were absolutely delicious. Aside from a fun outing, the service is always great and they did a wonderful manicure and pedicure. aweful products, aweful service, just plain AWEFUL – I visited Dashing Diva after reading about it in a magazine expecting a terrific experience and had one of the worst salon experiences I ever had. The nail tech and manager were rude, the nail tech wouldn't even answer my questions and seemed bored, the service was nothing better that I can't get for 1/2 price. 2 days after my service all my polish peeled off, their products on their shevles look cheap looking too...what is all the fuss?
