Good Atmosphere - Mediocre Nails – The inside is bright and cheery, they have cute products and have great hygiene practices but that is all. I have been getting my nails done for years and this is the worst place I've been to. The polish they used literally peeled right off less than a week after the manicure. User review by nycagirl – I recently stopped in for a brow and lip wax for my first Dashing Diva experience. It wasn't painful, although the wax was a bit hot. I mentioned that my skin is extremely oily and acne prone, and she used a post-waxing lotion that, three days later, has not made me break out. I was impressed with their friendliness, which is why I'm surprised now that I've read the reviews. Worst Service Ever – I got a manicure there last Friday, and I've never been in a place with worse service. Everything was fine, until as I was drying my nails, the manager came up to me and informed me that tip wasn't included in the service. Well aware of that, I had planned to tip after my nails had dried. The Manager then forced me to tip right then. I had never been so insulted.
what a cute place!! – I've been there with my girls and got the great service. from the entrance, pink floor and walls and every decoration are enough to catch my eyes. very lovely and cute decoration. Also, I'm satisfied with their service. I'd definately go back there! I'd love to return with my girls.
Truly a Diva-ine Experience! – This place is great -- fun pinks everywhere, bright lighting, and a pedi-station that is MADE for parties with your girls. SO friendly and nice, always able to accomodate walk-ins, and inexpensive... Fun b/c you get to pick out your nail colour from a huge cake-shaped display. The best mani/pedi service in the city, hands-down.
absolutely awful experience – made a reservation for 2, for pedicures, waited 40 minutes. receptionist was rude and unaplogetic. there were others waiting and not getting serviced as well. the $30 pedicure? a waste, asked the woman not to cut my toenails any shorter, as i had just cut them, she didn't seem to understand, had to stop her twice. the scrubbing off of the dead skin on the bottoms of our feet? lasted aobut 30 seconds, and i could have done a better job myself at home, which i had to do after i left the not so das... read more
My 10 guests & I were severely mistreated – SHOWER HORROR! We weren't allowed to do anything. What was agreed upon no longer stood, even w/ a month notice & a deposit. They didn't have cosmos for 10. Barely drinken cosmos were snatched from us. A staff mbr. kept following us for money B4 the agreed time. We couldn't put our belongings anywhere. Food couldn't be put in the fridge & favors, goody bags ended in the broom closet. 2 wks prior, it was agreed that we could put our stuff in the basement and food in the fridge. The c... read more
User review by hotsauce777 – My first visit to the Dashing Diva was somewhat disappointing.The staff was cordial, the sanitation was the best I've seen to date, however when i sit here and look at the finished product, well on a scale of 1-10 it's about a 5. Some of the polish is caked on the cuticles on my toes and some doesn't even come all the way to the cuticle area. User review by ladykalia – The only salon I visit for my weekly manicure, it's the cleanest salon I've ever seen. You and the manicurist apply hand sanitizer before receiving a manicure, you must purchase a set of nail files (around $1.00) so you don't get germs from sharing. I found it best to receive a nail service from each manicurist before deciding whose right for me.
