In addition to causing significant emotional distress, this physician attempted to undermine my legitimate medical conditions MCAS, dysautonomia, and POTS, by portraying me to my medical team as psychologically unstable and claiming I had a severe eating disorder. Dr. Darren Brenner demonstrates poor bedside manner and often speaks to patients in a condescending way. He is rarely in the office and relies heavily on his PA to manage patient care, only to frequently block their treatment plans. His reluctance to provide timely and appropriate care can delay proper treatment, which impacts patient outcomes. He is rude, has no bedside manner, and lacks basic people skills. He never solved or tried to solve my problem. Did a gastric emptying test and sent me away. You never hear from him- it will be a PA or nurse. Only if you are one of the lucky ones to hear back. I suspect the wait times are long to see this provider, as his passion seems to be teaching and not dealing with patients or their very real gastric issues.. I also suspect he writes his positive reviews. See someone else.

I do not recommend him. Please do not waste your TIME or money. He is dismissive, completely disregards patients. He’s not worth the wait, and very confused why he’s considered so well regarded in this field when he does nothing. If you look closely enough at his reviews- he hasn’t helped a single patient.
Dr. Brenner is awesome! He’s so personable and explains medical issues really well. His bedside manner is 10 out of 10! Really great guy!
Dr Brenner was humble, kind, and had great bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable. I was able to have a high level discussion as I am in healthcare but he was down to earth.
In January of 2024 I am finally receiving treatment for global dysmotility at the Cleveland Clinic but had to be hospitalized for malnutrition and receive an NJ tube after losing over 50 lbs. I saw Dr Brenner in April and July of 2023 for the same problem long before it was an emergency. It was eventually diagnosed using a SmartPill which Brenner previously refused to order. Brenner instead recommended psychotherapy and tried to claim there was no treatment available for my problem. He did not do his job.
100 percent recommended. Amazing GI doctor.
