Weird setup and the menu is not worth the pretty name! – A big and clean space and large portions but I just couldn't place my finger the type of cuisine. It seemed more like a hodge podge of Eastern European dishes doled out in family sizes but they were relatively expensive. Good effort but I guess they are not really restaurateurs but just an entrepreneur looking to make a buck selling something exotic.
Confusing experience – I'm not sure about this restaurant's theme. The menu is a strange mix of Easter European and Italian. Service is poor. Overpriced.
Great little downtown Bellevue Restaurant Find – We've been dining, eating dinner and lunch in Bellevue restaurants for years, and in our opinion this is exactly what Bellevue needs more of - a great little, authentic bistro and cafe which are run by the owners and serve great food in a cool , authentic space and manner. great food – My husband and I just had dinner at Danube Bistro and found it to be fabulous! the food is great,the service was excellent,the wine list is also very good.the goose liver pate was delicious,the Czech style pork roast and chicken Montenegro was very good .All the accoutrements were perfec.I felt like I was in a little European Restaurant in Czech or Austria.we will revisit Danube Bistro many times in the future ,I am sure.
Overpriced mediocre-quality food – Danube Bistro has a great appearance, but no substance. I came here with two friends for lunch. We had a $25 off coupon, so we thought it'd be nice to try something new. Overall, the atmosphere and the service was good, but the food itself was horribly overpriced for the quality of the meal. Great Service and Delicious Food! – My husband and I, along with another couple, went to Danube for the first time tonight and the food was mouth watering good. We started off with the Assorted sausages, salami and cheese, and had the chicken paprikash, ghoulash, stroganoff, and Halusky for dinner. outstanding european restaurant – i went to danube bistro for lunch and dinner in the last 3 days and i was very happy about the food service and is very friendly. i had for lunch a very good steak sandwich that is very flavorfull and the ceasars with it is a very good choise keep it very fresh and light , i also had the beef stroganoff and was very good especially when is served with the rice very good combination, i also had the goulash and was really with the hungarian flavor the last two dish are defenitlye to try if you... read more
bland and salty – The food was bland at best, it was very salty and oily but there were no other flavors. There wasn't a lot of hospitality either. we ordered soup and sandwich--the soup was salty and had some carrot and patotoes floating in it but no other flavors to describe here, the sandwich was excessively oily and salty but again there were no other flavors. The salad was just mixed green with oil poured on it. The waittress/host/cashier was nice. we did not order wine so can't say anything about the wine selection.
