Enjoyable 1st time – We're definitely going back as the food was delish and we would like to try out more of the menu. Quality of food and service is exactly on point with the tab.
Horrible service, blase food – I lived in Vienna for four years. I know a thing or two about great Austro-Hungarian cuisine. It's not at the Danube Bistro. My weinerschnitzel was an overfried piece of leather, not a palatable meal worth $27. I can go to Italianissimo and have a spectacular filet mignon for less than that! Like being in Vienna, all over again. – Take your girlfriend/wife shopping in Bellevue, then go to the Danube Bistro. Hopefully you can sit outside at the veranda, just like Vienna but inside works in the winter as long as you are upstairs. Last week when I was there I had the Jager Schnitzel (pork schnitzel in mushroom sauce) the mushrooms tasted as if they had been picked the day before even though mushroom season isn't here yet. Hungarian famous dishes defloration? – To entering in the restaurant is welcome you to the nice atmosphere. The dining tables are set close to like a professional 5* restaurant. Intimate Service, Great Food – We agree with a few other reviews out there - this is a great spot for warm yet sophisticated and accesible Eastern European food. It's really comfort food very well done. Nice balance of salts and spices. Not too heavy but definitly warm comfort food.
