Dr. Speight is an incredible doctor who has worked so well with each of my children. From autism and mental health in young children all the way up to teens and discussing healthy choices, she has met my family where we needed her to and has been helpful with referrals and needs as they came up.
She’s too dismissive to be working with children. There’s a certain level of care and bedside manner that I think you should have when working with children — she does not have it. I came to her with multiple major health concerns that she brushed off as “normal” without an explanation as to why something would be considered normal. If I hadn’t gotten a second option then my child would be worse off.
