I am very content with the results of my knee replacement. I was able to run my first race within 6 months.
Dr. Dan Schmitt of Loyola Hospital performed a total hip replacement with robotics at Hines VA Hospital on my right hip on April 19, 2024. I can’t express how pleased I am with the results. I am again pain free and can walk naturally with my new hip. I had a remarkably quick recovery at the age of 76 due to his expertise. I am 82 years old and have had a number of surgeries including a previous hip surgery elsewhere. Dr Schmitt and his team did a spectacular job with my hip replacement! I heartily recommend Dr Schmitt!!
25min late. Didn't introduce himself. First thing we heard. Who's the smoker. No surgery until I quit smoking.said my a1c too high. I've had 4 surgeries in 11mo. He said he would give me an injection
I was impressed. I had an appointment scheduled, last exam before scheduling surgery, for knee replacement, but also needed Lab work done - right next door to outpatient orthopedics. The Valet asked "How long I might be?" I said 60-90 minutes - God willing. As I checked in, I was only 13 minutes before my appointment, I asked " Do I have time for my blood work before the doctor is available?"
