Dr. Dan Schmitt of Loyola Hospital performed a total hip replacement with robotics at Hines VA Hospital on my right hip on April 19, 2024. I can’t express how pleased I am with the results. I am again pain free and can walk naturally with my new hip. I had a remarkably quick recovery at the age of 76 due to his expertise. I am 82 years old and have had a number of surgeries including a previous hip surgery elsewhere. Dr Schmitt and his team did a spectacular job with my hip replacement! I heartily recommend Dr Schmitt!!
25min late. Didn't introduce himself. First thing we heard. Who's the smoker. No surgery until I quit smoking.said my a1c too high. I've had 4 surgeries in 11mo. He said he would give me an injection
I was impressed. I had an appointment scheduled, last exam before scheduling surgery, for knee replacement, but also needed Lab work done - right next door to outpatient orthopedics. The Valet asked "How long I might be?" I said 60-90 minutes - God willing. As I checked in, I was only 13 minutes before my appointment, I asked " Do I have time for my blood work before the doctor is available?" Dr Daniel Schmitt, is excellent at what he does. His bedside manors are very professional, not to mention he is also caring. I don’t have words for how I feel about his expertise. He also works with a group of Assistant’s that meet his standards. Thank you Dr Schmitt and staff for a great outcome of my knee replacement surgery.
