Don't go there!! I went there for regular hygienist visit. They talked me into deep cleaning and assured me that my insurance would cover for that. All I need is $15 copay. When my insurance denied the payment, they did not told me and still treated me for next 3 times. Finally I got $606 bill from them.
scary. this dentist is like a jeckle and hyde. first meeting he was all positive and friendly. during the procedures he was agressive, and even abusive. at one point he was moving so fast and shoving a too large cap into a space that didnt fit, it was very painful and hurting me. i made a hand and mouth motion that it was too much and he told me to if he wanted me feedback he would ask for it. then pulled his chair away in a huff and said something like do you wnat to tel me how to do my job? passive agressive and scary beha... read more
I have been going to Dr. Charlton for close to 10 years now. Although I recently moved out of the San Diego area and now live 150 miles away, I still travel down to see him and his staff. I've always had a great experience! He is professional, uses the best technology and has a wonderful staff. To top it off, he is also extremely nice.
Fast, efficient, and friendly. His office seems very well run, I felt well taken care of, and Dr. Charlton seems on top of all the latest technology.
A truly great dentist and great facility! Every experience was pain free and completely thorough on all levels. The staff is professional and courteous with a positive demeanor. So you can go comfortably to Dr. Charlton, and know you and your teeth are in the best of hands.
My family has been using Dr.Charlton's dental services since 2003. I cannot say enough about his attitude and skills! He also uses very impressive latest hi-tech equipment. He will work tirelesly until the result is to your complete satisfaction and I am very impressed by such attitude. His staff is top notch too! I didn't think dentists of such caliber even participated in in-network groups with insurance companies, but every time our insurance changed Dr.Charlton was still in-network in the new insurance. Dan is an Excellent Dentist who has great attention to detail as well as a superior knowledge base on the latest dental procedures. His staff is warm friendly and professional, and I really appreciate not getting the run around as we do with most doctors ofices regarding basic insurance billing. Dan really seeems like a great guy who takes alot of pride in his work and keeping his patients healthy and happy. Dr. Charlton failed to send me to a specialist for a gum surgery before placing a veneer and he failed to take an x-ray before cementing the crown. As a result my front #8 veneer is 3 mm higher than my crown on #9 (both done at the same time by Dr. Charlton and cost me over $2,500). In addition # 8 has a margin that he missed. Margin causes cavity under the veneer in a long run. I went to get second and third opinion. Both dentists told me to go back to him saying that he should be re-doing the work for free on #8. Dr. Charlton has been our family (me, wife, two kids) for years. Everyone in the office is courteous and professional. The doctor is great. Always informs you what is happening during a procedure, see us on time, generally nice guy. I couldn't recommend him any higher. The hygienist are great as well (at least the three I've had). Waiting room has email available. Came in handy one time. You can also watch movies during long procedures with movie goggles.
