My wife needed a total foot reconstruction. Halfway through the procedure he decided it was not all needed. Turns out the surgery failed. We got a second opinion and that surgeon finished the job that Dr Hoopes should have finished. Always get a second opinion and go with an experienced (older) physician.

I felt dr. Hoopes was very knowledgeable and overall did a great job. I went in for a broken foot and needed surgery. The follow up with the office was horrible could not get them to return a phone call or get back to me. Everyone there seem to not know what was going on. I feel like the office needs to be managed better.

Wait time was 1 he and 20 mins, and then he brushed off me off in 5 mins. About a year ago, I started having severe pain in my back, hips, and feet. It’s seems all connected but each specialist gives me conflicting and mutually exclusive therapies. When I asked how we could coordinate my treatment (most of the drs are in his group) he shrugged. When I tried to explain that Hoops’ last therapy seemed to create the current issue with my ankle, he refused to address the issue and ordered more PT.

I have had a series of lower leg injuries that Dr. Hoops has treated including ankle surgery. I have seen multiple Doctors, multiple PTs for my treatment and I feel that Dr. Hoops approach to medicine and treatment has been extremely thorough and exactly what I have been seeking. He spent a lot of time focusing on prevention before going invasive. He works with and recommends physical therapists who are willing to use therapy techniques proven best for healing (this has been a big deal for me).

I shattered my ankle about a year ago, and I have had three surgeries with Dr. Hoopes. He is very detail-oriented and excellent at what he does. I genuinely feel that he wants to do the best work that he possibly can. He has been helpful in addressing the issues I have ahead of me as well as treatment options, and answering any questions I may have. His demeanor very professional, and he's pretty handsome. haha. Definitely would recommend to anyone struggling with their ankle/foot.

Dr Hoopes was great: knowledgeable and transparent; thorough yet fast. I love that he kept surgery as a last option, and emphasized lifestyle -- including a list of more suitable shoes on his website.

Wait times are atrocious. Would consider looking into another MD that manages office better. Last appointment waited over an hour to get in. Appt was scheduled at 1:15 PM and not seen until after 2:30 PM. All appointments have had a high wait time of 20 minutes at least to over an hour. Have been back for multiple (5 with more to come) follow up appointments. Feel Dr. Hoopes is a good MD but office is not run well. Patient's time is important too!

Dr. Hoopes treated me for a broken Calcanus (heel). Two fractures and a major surgery. He did an excellent job and I was walking again in 3-1/2 months. It appeared to have a lot of hardware (screws) in my foot, but it was necessary. The IHC hospital told it would take 9 months to return to normal activities.
