We serve oysters on the half shell, fried oysters, broiled oysters, oyster stew, oyster Rockefeller and a Cajun oyster sandwich. Our oysters, fish,draft beer and wine are all local. Iconic building with lots of local historical black and white pictures dotting the wall which makes for a warm and receptive ambiance. Service and food was excellent. Have the clam chowder and the kumatomo oysters were to die for! Definitely coming back when we return back from LA.
We're from Florida and are on a road trip. We met family here because they said it's old fashioned, authentic Portland and delicious. It was!! Great dishes, great environment!
Really cool little spot, nice outdoor seating, and the calamari was phenomenal.
Highly recommend Dan & Louie's Oyster Bar. I had the fried fish sandwich, which was amazing! The service is excellent and friendly as well.
Everybody in Portland should enjoy this place! Just go there.
My brother, Keoni Wachsmuth, is doing an amazing job reinventing the original menu at Dan & Louis' Oyster Bar. So proud of the business he and his lovely wife, Michelle Wachsmuth, are creating with their children. The food is made from scratch with real ingredients, not processed or frozen. Keep up the great work!

FUN & MEMORABLE! Open since 1907, this historical Portland landmark restaurant was worth visiting. The shrimp cocktails, clam chowder & oysters were awesome. This was my favorite place we dined, in downtown, Portland.
The Realest and Freshest in Town ! I especially recommand the Rockefeller Oysters & Chief's specialities !
