Bought my sons a Daisy rifle to plink with. Never left in weather or touched by rain. But the barrel is literally rusting away. Worst purchase ever.

- Be more upfront about what you sell. The only difference in the "adult" & "youth" Red Ryder is the butt stock is about an inch longer and maybe an inch taller. The rest is the exact same gun. That inch of butt stock costs an extra $30. I feel scammed. 😡

I got a model 35 for my daughter. I dont like that I can't put the gun on safety right after shooting. You have to cycle the bolt before you can put it on safe. Cycling the bolt can load a bb and you can have an accidental discharge while cocking. It also undermines teaching the first rules of shooting. Always have the gun on safe while loading. Not smart Daisy. I do believe I'm going to try and return this gun or pick it up never to be used until my daughter gets more advanced.
