Custard Cup was first started in 1949. It was originally opened by George and Helen Potter at 2507 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, IL. There they started selling the Custard that Mr. Potter had developed a recipe for. Business started slow, and it was not uncommon to see George and Helen sitting out back playing cards while they waited for customers to come in. I have been coming here all my life! spent thousands (quite literally) here. recommend them (previously) to everyone! Met there today to celebrate. RecommendedLemon Custard is a unique and long time staple from this wonderful long standing family owned frozen custard stand. They have a large variety of tasty offerings on the menu. Great memories as a kid from this place.
I moved from this area 37 years ago and try to stop by Custard Cup any chance I can! There is no comparison to their lemon custard!!!
