Beware of excessive rate hikes and no appreciation for loyal customers I leased a 10 X20 unit for $160 per month 2 years ago. My rate today just went up to $365. , this was just changing units too- I have been leasing a unit from them since 2010, but cubesmart bought the property a few years ago, and they have been horrible. They are leasing the same unit for close to $200 plus a half month free to new customers. I asked them to just charge me the same rate as they advertise, not asking for the half month free. We stored antique furniture in a CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit for more than 1.5 years at this Cubesmart Location. Furniture is covered with mold and mildew. Damage NOT covered by insurance sold by Cubesmart or by Cubesmart. Cubesmart offered to pay $500 with condition that NO public reviews be posted. Estimate for required mildew removal and refinishing totaled at least five thousand dollars. I would highly suggest looking for a different place to store your furniture. Michelle & Tensia have the BEST customer service I have ever encountered. I come from Public Storage so I have really saw what bad customer service looks like. They opened doors for my movers and I,offered us water, and even unlocked the elevator so I didn't have to constantly put in my code. The property was clean and the floor that I rented my storage unit on was very cool. I highly recommend this facility.
I went here Friday and talked with some woman, said she was the Manager and asked the price's and sizes available. She quoted me the prices and I told her I had found lower down the street but not as nice, she became rude and kinda snoty about having to pay for the cleanliness and if we did'nt like the prices "we could go down the street", which we did. This is not a place I will ever return too.
After my mother died I had to move stuff out of the storage unit after some 8 years of her being with CubeSmart. Living in L.A. it was really hard to clean out a house and storage unit, so moving all of this stuff out by myself, both Jim and Tim were so helpful because they understood my situation, THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I would recommend Cube Smart to anybody that needs to store stuff, but not only that the property was so clean, and well maintain.
