Dr Lourens van Zyl performed my Bilateral Lense replacement surgery on 24 July 2025. The procedure was undertaken at Sundew day surgery. During the procedure I was under a general anaesthetic. There was no pain at all either during or after the procedure. The time from admission to discharg was approximately 3.5 hours. Great experience getting Laser Eye Surgery with Crystal Eye and Laser Centre. They were very punctual with appointments and made the whole surgery as easy as possible. So far I’ve had amazing results with my vision and I’m very impressed with how fast and efficient they were in booking me in until actually having the surgery.
The best investment I have made! Truly life-changing! I had -10 on both eyes plus astigmatism... Basically not far from blind... I wasn't suitable for laser surgery...ICL ( Implantable Collamer lens) was what I had to do. Most surgeons would have done this surgery and I would still have to wear reading glasses but Dr Lourens essentially suggested two different lenses..one for long distance and one for short distance... If I could give Dr Lourens 10 stars I would. After having LASIK surgery my vision is amazing and better than perfect. Dr Lourens and his staff were amazing throughout my vision correction journey. I cannot recommend Dr Lourens and Crystal Eye and Laser Centre more strongly. I just wish I could give more than 5 stars as the service and treatment was impeccable. Definitely Perth and Western Australia's best laser eye surgeon!! BEST decision and I wish I did it earlier in my life!
