Wow! Awesome Doctor! I starting having health problems several years ago which lead me to see numerous medical doctors. These doctors placed me on various prescription drugs for several years. I did not enjoy the interaction with Dr. Abernathy. I felt she focused more on the cost of everything versus putting together a comprehensive plan for me. What people are willing to pay for healthcare is different so I would have preferred she focus on the plan and its importance and then let determine if I wanted to pay for it. Not sure rates for naturopathic doctors are consistent so I'd suggest shopping around and getting personal referrals.
I contacted Dr. Abernathy in December, 2012 to ask if she could recommend a Naturopathic Physician in my hometown (as she used to practice here). She said there were none in this area, but was happy to schedule a phone appointment with me. Her extensive knowledge of natural medicine and her sincere desire to help people heal was obvious from my first meeting with her, where she listened to my problems like a friend and then gave advice as a medical professional. Wow! Whoever wrote the other review, must have confused Dr. Abernathy with someone else.
