This is not a clean facility. I currently have a relative in the hospital and my feet were sticking to the floor of her room. I had to ask to speak to a doctor four times. After two hours and my fourth request, he finally appeared and was very curt. My relative missed meals because they cannot order on the phone especially when they are mentally exhausted and unwell. This is an elderly patient with significant health concerns who could no longer wait for a nurse to help them to the bathroom. Completely unsafe and unacceptabl... read more

I would highly recommend this hospital. My 14 year old daughter had one day surgery at the Crouse Physician office building for a large internal cyst removal . We where both very nervous and I cannot tell you how loving and caring the pre op nurses where and also post op!! Her surgeon was caring and very explanatory of every single detail and did great work on my daughter . All where professional and caring could not be more grateful for her surgical team and nurses!

Luckily I have not had many hospital experiences, but my recent stay at Crouse definitely deemed 5 stars. The nursing staff was wonderful and attentive, they thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. The phlebotomy team was great and whomever put in my IV did a spectacular job (absolutely no bruise). And as an added extra, the meals were amazingly delicious. If I do ever have to go to the hospital again (hopefully not), I will definitely request Crouse.

I took my mom to Crouse Hospital for a blood transfusion at 5:00 the other evening. After 6 hours I got her home and was horrified to see the state her arm was in. It had a huge hematoma from her wrist to her elbow! She had a huge puncture in her arm where they put the needle .I am not sure of how much blood she really did receive. I had to contact her Hematology doctor and ask what to do. I would give a minus one star if it was possible.

My husband was admitted to the fifth floor at Crouse...on Oct 9...with gallbladder problems .... he was in room 5017 and have the most FANTASTIC care. From the charge nurse Amy to Desiree, Soosan, Jessica (sorry if I missed anyone)and all the staff... they went beyond themselves to make us feel comfortable and well informed! Thank you for your dedication!

Was in Crouse for 5 days. EVERY single person who took care of me was exemplary. I was there for my COPD, but am also a chronic pain patient, along with lots of other diseases. They took care of my pain and complex illnesses perfectly while my lungs healed. With so much pain medication restrictions all over the US, I was concerned how that would be handled. I was pleasantly surprised and I've told everyone I know how wonderful my stay was. Thank you, Crouse!

Terrible care on the 6th floor Ortho. The only reason we were there was because Dr. Clark is a wonderful surgeon. Safety issues, this hospital was rated a C in Leapfrog survey which is a state monitoring organization. The nurses are union, which means that some of them are conscientious, and others are hiding under the umbrella that protects them from being fired.
