I have known the Crooms for many years. They are good, down to earth people who do their best to do right by people. When I moved into my new place it was clean, had fresh paint, and was as new as it could be to me! The first week I moved in, my hot water heater went out. It was fixed by the end of the day! One of my front porch steps broke and was fixed the same day before I got home from work. RUN....DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE . The Croom s are in business to #\$%\$ YOU OVER and take your hard earned money, period. Hopefully you were smart enough to google this before you gave them ANY I REPEAT ANY MONEY\$\$\$\$. Its funny looking at these negative reviews. I was with Croom Rentals for years & never had even a similar issue. They are pretty stringent about the presentation of their homes so I can understand how a person loosing a deposit would disagree with their decisions. I would still be renting if I didnt have pets. When I moved in the house was in excellent condition. I lost a good deal of my deposit when I moved out because thats how they wanted to offer the home to the next tenant. If I could give 0 stars I would. When my husband was coming home from Iraq I found croom rentals and thought she was so nice. The duplex on south shore was adorable and perfect for our family. When my husband found out he would be gone for over a month in the later months of my pregnancy we decided that the best thing is for me to move home we talked to ms croom about this and she said no problem and we got everything ready and by the time we were getting closer to moving out she changed. I lived at 235 Weatherington for 1 year. I moved out May 15th but paid for a full month. I was charged to replace the drip pans on the stove--which I bought brand new at Lowes. Even provided the receipt. I hired a move out service to clean the dump.The cleaning service is Millis Cleaning. I even inspected when they were finished. Apparently, the management company inspected the wrong apartment because they charged me for refrigerator and stove cleaning, cleaning light fixtures, windows, etc. They kept my entire deposit of \$... read more

This place was horrible! I lived on weatherington road for a year. I complained about roaches and no one even lifted a finger to get it exterminated. When I moved out they charged me \$1200 which I never paid. Didnt get my deposit back obviously. They said it was trashed! Thats complete crap. I worked for a move out company and we cleaned that dirt hole from top to bottom before we left! It was 10x cleaner than when we moved in. They were so rude after I signed the lease. We lived in Croom Rentals for a year and a half and the entire time we had problems. When we moved in it was filthy, everything they "said" was cleaned was not and they made excuses. We had a newborn in the summer and lived without air conditioning, and they said if we wanted it fixed we were going to pay for it. In the winter months we had to buy a space heater to stay warm because the other part of the apartment was very cold due to the lack of insulation. When I first started inquiring about Crooms Rentals, the owner seemed very nice. But once the paperwork was completed the attitude of the owner changed drastically. They became unavailable to any questions I had and became extremely rude once I was able to get a hold of them. When it was time for me to move out, the place was cleaned spotless, it looked a hundred times better than it did when I initially moved in.
