Could have been 5 stars if it were not for a few missteps. Coffee was tepid, not hot, no teaspoons were provided with our place settings, they would have been useful to stir our coffee, they did however provide large soup spoons, no sugar/sweetners on the table, no side plates given for rolls or for sharing of beignets. I got food poisoning here on Super Bowl Sunday. Bad Gumbo. We were staying at the hotel that weekend for a conference. Management was not concerned, and just told my wife to take me to the urgent care nearby, which she did. When we returned to the hotel from the urgent care, hotel management was only concerned about getting us to check out as quickly as possible. They offered no assistance at any time. This place has gone downhill since the owner died in 2011.
Best hotel in Louisiana yet restaurant is seriously lacking, no hot chocolate in the entire hotel .... no fresh orange juice, it comes out of a plastic bottle, clearly cheap juice as per chemical taste, no one to go and buy some chocolate ... staff pulling faces and some walking like chavs, really not impressed with the service not the “quality” of the produce. This place needs to step up their game and pull themselves together !
The best hotel restaurant I’ve ever patronized. Period. Recently? Chicken-fried green tomatoes, boudin blanc, b&g, Bloody Mary, and Ella out the speakers!
Great rabbit appetizers. Excellent service! Will be back.
We had our office Christmas Luncheon here yesterday. It was wonderful. The service, the atmosphere and the food was all superb. Highly recommend.
