RecommendedI've only been here once and I already know I will want Dr. Kautz as my primary vet for as long as I'm in Austin. His background in school is impressive, so it's easy to trust his opinions on my animals. I took my cat here after a tail pull injury and unlike the ER vet, Dr. Kautz was optimistic about my cat keeping his tail. If I had gone with the opinion of the ER vet his tail would already be gone, but Dr.Kautz gave me confidence and hope...and now my cat's tail is moving! My Rottweiler puppy Bear recently underwent umbilical hernia surgery with Dr. Kautz. He was very quick to respond to my emails and was very pleasant to speak with over the phone. From the drop off to pick up, all of the staff were very friendly and everything that day went smoothly. I also had a follow up surgery question I emailed and Dr. Kautz's nurse called back the same day. Overall, I was very satisfied with Dr. Kautz and his staff, and would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
My 6 year old cat named Mace visited Crestview Vet Clinic for the 1st time about 10 days ago. He had the works. Shots, nails clipped while under anesthesia, and lab work. Plus his annual exam. Everyone was very courteous & he was better than new the next day. Spot yourself a rest room if you wait outside. Humans aren't allowed inside due to Covid 19. I experienced some sticker shock, but am very happy with my happy cat.
We saw Dr Kautz for our cat, Timmy. We were absolutely amazed that our 16 year old liked Dr Kautz and the team at Crestview enough to let him do a thorough exam without having to sedate him. Our kitty has notoriously hated going to the vet and I warned them that he may act out. When we got home Timmy was happy and calm. It was obvious to us that he hadn't been traumatized at all. They’re always so kind, and it’s very obvious they care about our pets!
We <3 Crestview Vet Clinic. They are so sweet and caring for our old pups. They always give you thorough evaluations and options for care based off your financial situation. Dr Weirsig is so sharp and always up to date on options for medicine. The front office staff is so patient, and the techs are always friendly and give the doggies lots of love. A good vet is hard to find! I feel lucky to be so close to this one. Thank you Crestview Vet team!!
Dr. Kautz was absolutely incredible. He was personable, thorough, and extremely detailed. He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions that we had. We have two dogs with different serious health concerns. Together we created a solid action/treatment plan. It is clear how knowledgeable he is and how much he loves animals.
