his Staff is definitely very rude! He seems like he is rushed and when the blood report said that my medicine dose was too high, he said on the phone, come back in 4 months and we will adjust it! I could imagine taking too much synthroid for 4 more months with my achy and tender legs. He might be very smart and knowledgable, but as a patient one does not get the confidence in him and he does not have time to talk/answer your questions/concerns. He also assumes quickly, when it showed that my dose was too high, he immediately... read more

WATCH OUT! This Doctor is VERY corrupt!! He is in my insurance's network, but charged twice as much and my insurance only paid the regular agreement. I was left with the other half!! He charges $300 for a "consultation" where he spoke to me for 2 minutes and did not take a second to listen to my questions (!!!). Very unfriendly and does not take the time to explain anything. I am so upset and wish I could tell everyone about this corrupt physician. If you sit in the office long enough, you will hear him scream at his staff. ... read more

I completely agree with everyone else that he is rude and has no bedside manner. I took a lot of time to bring all my medical records and even complied a complete medical history. He didn't even read it, was with me for 5 mins, and told me to go see a nutritionist. I practically got in a fight with him. Stay away from him if you can!

I am actually very perplexed by thte positive comment by the last person who posted a review, who said he didn't understand the negative comments about Dr. Crantz. I agree with most of the negative comments...I have seen this doctor for over 8 years, and have endured his lack of personal skills and flippant, arrogant attitude because I assumed his behavior was a quirky doctor thing. After my last visit when he basically walked into the room without even looking at me, mumbled, spent a total ot 2 minutes looking at my chart, ... read more

I have been seeing Dr. Crantz for over twenty years and have always found him to have time for my questions, time to chat about my meds, my other Dr's. etc. We even usually talk about my career and who I am working for at the time and so on. Dont understand the negative posts- he's always had time for me. I can't even complain about the needle-drivers in his office-they are all very good with a needle!!

If you think he is rude, imagine what it must be like to work for him! There's a reason the staff acts the way we do. We are treated like crap and have no benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc).

I found Dr. Crantz, out of the 3 doctors I've seen for my hypothryroidism to be the only one who bothered to find out why I have this (Hashimoto's test) and fully explained the numbers from my full thyroid panel. He has adjusted my medications in what finally appears to be a logical and rational way. The other doctors I've seen seemed much more flippant about my health. And why would a dr. want to lower my levothyroxine and up my cytomel when the test clearly indicated the opposite treatment? I'm glad I looked for and found ... read more

My only problem was the inexperienced lab tech who made a mess out of trying to draw blood from my arm (my second visit I told the doctor I wanted an experienced lab tech to take my blood and he got her for me). I found the doctor to be attentive, professional and pleasant. It turned out I did not have a thyroid problem (just fatigue thanks to menopause!) and I appreciated him not making me endure many unnecessary tests and procedures.
