After being treated for hypothyroidism for over 6 years, in my first visit with Dr. Crantz, he opted to take me off RX "to see if I'm really hypothyroid", despite symptoms experienced and verified lab work. This is incredibly reckless and unnecessary. Ultimately, when symptoms worsened, he apologized and put me back on RX. This provider is a perfect example of why Endo's get such a bad reputation for ignoring patients, and only looking at labs. While labs are incredibly important, symptoms are as well. Have received excellent treatment over ten years for thyroid, pre-diabetic, and testosterone issues. He is fast, but thorough.
Rushes you in and rushes you out. Just wants to bill your visit, and get you the heck out. Pushes certain diabetes medicines that he must be getting a kickback for. (Expensive brand name test strips and drugs). Maybe b/c he is in expensive office space & has too many assistants in his office. Will spend 60 seconds with you, re-prescibing a medicine. Dr. Crantz is by far the worst when it comes to bedside manner, attentiveness, and candor for his patients that I've dealt with and I'm in the medical field! I've tried to ignore the few visits where I felt my symptoms and concerns for my health were overlooked, that Dr. Crantz was having an "off day" however after five visits that consistently went the same way, enough is enough and I will be switching to another provider that genuinely cares for their patients needs. I adore Dr. Crantz. After our first meeting I was nervous about returning because he basically called me out on my stuff. every follow up appointment he has been kind and takes time to answer ALL of my questions. Bottom line, if you're looking for a doctor to stroke your ego and not call you out on your poor health habits, he is not for you. If you want a brilliant doctor who will be a partner in your care, go to Dr. Crantz. He is exactly what I needed and I'm healthier for staying with him.

I have only been with Dr. Crantz for 1 year; a coworker recommended his practice. The office works like clockwork, I have rarely had to wait. Yes, he may be working at a faster pace at times; however he is professional, knowledgeable and prompt sharing lab results and returning calls if there is a concern. I love that the lab is in the office. I believe he has carefully worked over the past year to establish he correct thyroid medication and dose for me. I can’t believe the staff has no benefits.
Dr. Crantz has provided me great care for 10 years. He has the lab work done on site and is then able to understand how my body is reacting to the medication. He clearly knows his practice area.
Dr. Crantz is awesome. He's very knowledgeable and caring. His prompt response about my test results are always outstanding. His level of professionalism and patient care is top notch.
