After being treated for hypothyroidism for over 6 years, in my first visit with Dr. Crantz, he opted to take me off RX "to see if I'm really hypothyroid", despite symptoms experienced and verified lab work. This is incredibly reckless and unnecessary. Ultimately, when symptoms worsened, he apologized and put me back on RX. This provider is a perfect example of why Endo's get such a bad reputation for ignoring patients, and only looking at labs. While labs are incredibly important, symptoms are as well. He only spends about 2 minutes with you, explains nothing, and doesn't listen to you about your symtoms.

Dr. Crantz calls you personally to give you results from any test immediately. Explains everything even though I do not have a serious condition

Have received excellent treatment over ten years for thyroid, pre-diabetic, and testosterone issues. He is fast, but thorough.

Rushes you in and rushes you out. Just wants to bill your visit, and get you the heck out. Pushes certain diabetes medicines that he must be getting a kickback for. (Expensive brand name test strips and drugs). Maybe b/c he is in expensive office space & has too many assistants in his office. Will spend 60 seconds with you, re-prescibing a medicine. Dr. Crantz is by far the worst when it comes to bedside manner, attentiveness, and candor for his patients that I've dealt with and I'm in the medical field! I've tried to ignore the few visits where I felt my symptoms and concerns for my health were overlooked, that Dr. Crantz was having an "off day" however after five visits that consistently went the same way, enough is enough and I will be switching to another provider that genuinely cares for their patients needs. I have been a patient of Dr. Crantz for over 9 years. He is a wonderful doctor and I feel I am in good hands. His office staff, nurses, and other professionals are really great. I don’t live in the area anymore but I still have Dr. Crantz as my doctor, I trust in his experience and judgement.

Dr. Crantz is always on time. His nursing staff is amazing. Lindsey drew my blood the past few times and she is so gentle! Dr. Crantz is very good about calling next day with results. Only complaint I have is the front desk staff. She is always on her phone and easy annoyed when I ask questions. Other than that, decent doctors office.

Dr. Crantz is a fine Endocrinologist, he knows what he's doing and is willing to listen to a point. My only critiques with him are on the communication side. In person he appears rushed. I usually spend more time with the assistants than with him. Also, as someone new to not only the area, but to professional life in general, he appears to be unaware that not everyone can afford to go on 5 different medications and try the latest and greatest apparatus'.
