Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream started in the back of our family restaurant, Thai Orchid Cafe, with one flavor: Coconut. After making ice cream for about 6 months as a simple dessert option, we noticed some customers were coming in to just buy the ice cream….and they didn’t order any Thai food. From there, we began serving our super premium ice cream at festivals, weddings, parties and schools. Two words that have change my life....Coffee Stout. The best coffee ice cream I have ever had.
This place was great. I wish we had one in Illinois. So hard to pick what to eat.
My family had some of the Crank & Boom last night at a Keeneland pinic. We all loved it. The Bourbon honey was my favorite. We plan on eating at the store soon.
Nice folks. Met up with a friend here and just wanted two shots with some steamed half and half. They didn't even ask questions and I got what I wanted for two bucks.
The only bad thing about this place is trying to only order 1 or 3 things! Absolutely delicious ice cream, fresh waffle cones, cake (especially pistachio), coffee, & beer. Also, the staff is amazing!
I had a very enjoyable first visit! The gentleman working was really friendly and fun and my sundae was delicious

LOVE this place, Toa and her team kill it. They do awesome things for this community, their staff, and other small businesses. As a small business owner, it's great to see their success and all they do for others. And the ice cream kicks ass... As if you needed another reason to go there.
Great ice cream, friendly staff, original pairings of flavors! Love the North Lime donut ice cream sandwich with banana ice cream and chocolate bombe sauce!

The Catering service is great and the ice-cream is amazing! I'm a sucker for their Salted Caramel but the other flavors are definitely some of the best I've had in a while. Bourbon and Honey is on point and def one of my fav also
