Every time I come into this office everyone is so nice and they make you feel welcomed. I completed the cross-linking procedure in my right eye and I was so scared but they made me feel comfortable and relaxed and now I’m ready for my next eye. Highly recommend.
I am a post RK (Radial Keratotomy) patient. I have cataracts and my local doctor was not able to perform cataract surgery that would help improve my vision what so ever. I did research and found Dr. Berger. He performed my cataract surgery on my left eye and used a toric lense. I am extremely happy with the results! So far I have 20/20 vision and decreased Astigmatism! I highly recommend him for complicated cases such as mine. He literally was an answer to my prayer! Thank you Dr. Berger!
Dr. Berger performed cataract surgery on both eyes. Very happy with the results. He and the staff are friendly and very knowledgable.
Dr. Berger and his staff are extremely knowledgeable in the care of Keratoconus and other advanced eye disorders. He is the only board certified Eye surgeon in the Tampa area that offers non invasive Cross Linking procedure to treat Keratoconus which I have. With the help of him and his staff, my eyesight definitely has improved. I highly recommend Bay Area Eye Institute.
Dr. Berger saved my eyesight!!! His care was compassionate, conservative and he is a true professional in his field. I contracted a severe fungal infection in one of my eyes and my vision was severely impaired when I first saw Dr. Berger. He quickly determined a cornea transplant was needed. Dr. Berger performed my Cataract Surgery and I couldn't be happier with the final result. I found the doctor to be professional, understanding and willing to listen to my concerns. The procedures went very well, with minimal discomfort, if any at all. The final result is 20/20 vision in both eyes and no need to wear glasses anymore.
I was given a referral to Dr. Berger from my Retina Specialist to deal with cornea & calcium build-up issues. I am quite pleased with my outcomes. Most importantly, he is very responsive to my questions and answers in laymans terms and exhibits concern/empathy to patients!
If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. I was referred to Dr. Berger for a second opinion by my ophthalmologist. 45 minute drive, over an hour wait and he spent less than 5 minutes with me, rattled off a diagnosis so fast I didn't understand a word he said, handed me a piece of paper with instructions and had the nerve to also hand me my chart to hand to the receptionist on the way out. I have no faith in this doctor's expertise and would not trust him with my care.

Please call or email craigbergermd@hotmail.com so we can arrange for a phone conference to review your diagnosis and treatment .I certainly did not intend to insult you by asking you to take your chart to checkout.I do this so that patients are reminded to check out at the desk.Too many patients walked out w/o checking out until I started giving pts their charts.
