Dr Mayer is a brilliant and personable doctor. He is meticulous, quick and has state of the art equipment. My issue is not with Dr Mayer or his assistants. I started seeing Dr Mayer last year after moving to Lehigh Acres. The office help was courteous. They have gone and a new crew is there. I am not impressed. They continue to bill me over $300 for a charge that my insurance company tells me is not my responsibility. My insurance company has spoken with that office twice. Loved Dr Mayer. But sad to say I am changing dentist. This new corp that he sold to has terrible office people and service. The staff that I have know were kind and courteous but that is not so anymore. I know dr won't see this and that's a shame. See ya Doc it was nice.
From checking in to checking out, EVERYONE is super delightful and knowledgeable. These days especially, many people are concerned about money and medical treatment is not cheap. Learning I needed a procedure, of course money alarms were sounding. Madison checked me out, in detail explained what costs were involved and what was remaining in insurance coverage. I am 60 years old and had a cleaning every year of my life. I’ve been to a lot of dentists and probably more than most due to some childhood dental problems. Dr. Mayer is by far the most skilled and caring dentist I have ever been to.
Returned for repair and filled over cavity with additional charge and then called today to collect $1.50.
Was over charged!!!! This is due to his office not properly filing my insurance claim. They had the check sent to the wrong address and never followed up on it. They charged me $430.00 to work on my teeth the next follow-up appointment. I had no idea that they never received the insurance monies until I asked for a detailed billing. Sunday I had a horrible tooth abscess and my face was really swollen. Of corse it happened over the weekend. I didn’t have a regular dentist so I called Dr. Mayers office Sunday night and left a message. They actually called me back Monday at 8 AM and I got an appointment for that day at 2 PM.
