I took in my grandmother's wedding set to see if the bands could be fixed. They are over fifty years old and extremely delicate. The technician sent back a list of the repairs (reshanking each ring, and then adding a piece of wire to keep the ring from "cutting into me"). I didn't really understand what the end result of that would look like so I had them send the ring back and I went to pick it up.
