To end our week-long family vacation at Douglas Lake we decided to stop by Cowboy's on the water. At first glance it was a cute little mom and pop restaurant that came with great reviews. My family showed up around 5:45pm with a party of 25 people. By the time it was all said and done, it took 2 1/2 hours for all of us to get our food, eat, and pay. Fried pickles are awesome, and love the free hush puppies. We had the catfish dinner and popcorn shrimp. Everything was very good and the wait staff was excellent. Wonderful views of the lake too!
This was our first time back since Cowboys reopened. We had bragged on the food, the beautiful views and the atmosphere to clients that we were out with today. Decided to go to dinner. Some of the food was good, but some was horrible. One of us ordered steak med. rare and it came out extremely well done. It was obvious that the steak had been sitting on the grill for a long time. I had the worst service ever. Waited 40 min before someone took our order. Also my condiments never came with my hamburger I had to ask for them . The worst part was that it was the manager who waited on us. When I asked to speak to her she told me she had other tables besides us. She was very rude. Needless to say we won't go back.
Great food and great service! Everyone at our table raved about the whole experience, catfish was delicious and Becky made the experience even better with great, fast service! No doubt we will back!

We went to Cowboys last night, there was 11 of us. The food was good but the service was slow. I think if they improve the service they will do a great, Suggestion would be to also have bands play on the weekends, they have a beautiful place and it would be awesome to hear music
We went there Sunday June 12th about 7:30 got seated right away maybe 15 people in there eating set there for about 15 minutes nobody come to the table and I'll be acknowledged we were even there so we got up and left we live 5 minutes from there and will never go back
I work for Cowboys. This is a great place to work and eat. I invite my family to come and eat all the time. It's a beautiful location, the owners are great people, and the staff truly care about the customers dinning experience. Come and see us soon.
