My uncle spent a week at Lea Regional with the kindest, most caring doctors & nurses we’ve ever experienced! Both the ICU as well as the 3rd floor were on top of every possible detail concerning the health of our loved one. I had an appointment for a mammogram at 12:30pm. I didn't even get in the room til 1:45pm. I just don't understand why you get appointments if you don't get seen at that time. On the other hand the person doing my test was extremely nice and awesome. Just had issue with the time management.
Dr. Kampe, thank you for your patient advocacy in the ER with my aunt Saturday night into Sunday morning. You realized she needed other treatment your hospital couldn't provide, and you were 100% right. While there are things I could complain about (my mother was a nurse and she would have had a fit over the lack of compassion some of your nurses had-- need to realize all those doors are open and patients and families overhear you), but you and the two ladies in admitting made things much easier.
Been here over two hours and still waiting on a room. My father is having a diabetic episode and has even fallen down in front of the nurses. No one did anything. We were told there was one person in front of us waiting on a room. They have let four people go ahead of him and get a room and seen by a doctor. This is bull.
