My wife and I stayed in the Courtyard by Marriott in Amarillo, Texas from August 8-9, 2026. This hotel is listed as a smoke-free hotel. Parking is limited and they charge you to park in their lot. After check-in, our key card didn't work (we weren't the only ones who had this issue), so back to the front desk for another key card. When my wife opened the door to our room (room 400), the heavy smell of nicotine coming out of the room was disgusting! Back again to the front desk to change rooms. The customer service at this hotel is the worst!! And they never answer the phone. What kind of people run this business when you can't man the phones!?! Y'all a total disgrace!!!

Good location, okayish rooms and poor service As a Marriott Titanium member, I expected a basic standard of hospitality, but this stay missed the mark. Having our plates taken away (without even asking) with food and cutlery still on them, the service was abysmal. Compounded by substandard food, this property severely lacks professional training and basic courtesy. Management has some serious work to do here.
