Do not book with this company. First off you can't walk to anyone live of the phone period so be ready to send emails back and forth if.you get a response. Upon check in we booked and paid in full for L6 and received A8 instead. We specifically booked L6 for the bed capacities. So now we are settling for a unit that we didn't pay for. Also, it's Saturday and you can't get a hold of anyone past 5 pm. We fins out by a permanent resident that L6 can't be booked bc they are moving a permanent renter into the unit. Absolutely horrible organization. We reserved gulf side view rooms that they arbitrarily switched to a garage view room. This was supposed to be my daughters honeymoon suite. Not only did they do a bait and switch on the room, they charged me more for the room with no explanation. The final straw was the room was filthy. My daughter slept in her clothes she had worn all day for travel for she was convinced they were cleaner than the room. We checked in to our condo *** A at Surfside Resort at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 which we booked through Counts Oakes Resort Properties. Upon entering the room our first observation was the yellow comforter was black on the lower portion completely around the bed. After this observation we went down to the front desk to see if it could be changed to which they said they would send one up. My family decided to cancel a reservation due to concerns over hurricane Irma. We were within the 14 days cancellation period and realized the company had the right to penalize us. The company advised me we would forfeit the rental payment, including all fees, PLUS the $300 deposit. The company was unable to sufficiently explain how this was appropriate, but it was "policy". We rented a Counts Oakes vacation property, it was abysmal! I have been in the travel industry for almost 30 years and have stayed in at least 3,000 hotel rooms. Never have I been so disappointed. The following conditions are the ones that come to the forefront in our minds: Master sink smells of sewage. Bedroom closet doors broken. Lamps do not work, could be bulbs, if that's the case it shows a lack of attention by those overseeing the condo. Living room TV snowy. Needs a quality paint job.
