We go there quite often and take our out of town guests
Decided to give it one more try, horrible service, steaks were not cooked the way we ordered, drinks flat, and took forever... should of stuck with silverstar
Have always considered ct deserves 5 stars, but yesterday was a big disappointment. Tried their grilled pork chops for a change. Great flavor, but could not cut them with a steak knife, and certainly could not chew them. Do NOT order the pork chops! $18 for a meal I could not eat.
I had heard of "The Country Tavern" from a television piece on dining in Shreveport, several years back. My husband began working in the area on an oil/gas job and all of the company group meals ended up there. I love their combo plates with smoked turkey & sausage! You won't be disappointed in anything you chose!

Ate at Country Tavern tonight. The food was amazing as usual. Our service was excellent. The manager, Mike, was very friendly.

I used to really love this place would have rated it 5 stars hands down. But unfortunately I believe the new management and the quality of the food has changed and not for the best. Portions are smaller prices are higher and the quality is lower. Not my first choice these days :( sad because it used to be our favorite.
