I have wanted to try this place on my many drive-thrus from Wichita Falls. We stopped here today, and wished we hadn't. We were barely even acknowledged when we walked in. Our waitress who acted like she had better things to do, barely spoke to us, and when she she did, it was barely above a whisper. She asked us if we would like our appetizer before our meal, uh..yes!? We had to ask for our water, and our appetizer, TWICE! Which we got WITH our meal, btw. The wait time, horrible. Excellent food & service!
I drive up from Austin to have my Jeep serviced at the local dealership in the pro-America community of Lampasas. Part of the fun of the trip is eating breakfast at Country Kitchen and Bakery. Unlike restaurants in Austin, there is no 30.06 or 30.07 at the front door or other virtue signaling placards. It's a country diner. They serve country food. The waitress calls you sweetie. There is no vegan/vegetarian/unicorn free menu. If this isn't what you're looking for, there's a PF Chang's back in Austin.
food was bland and reminded me of 70s TV dinners. hamburger was ok, but gravy was bad, Mexican plate was like it came out of a can. ( or TV dinner) the only good thing was the service.
Awesome place, friendly staff and very affordable.
We love it here! They have Kinzlees pancake ready for her every time we come in!
